WHO ARE WE?

This site documents the summer of five American university students who come from five different parts of the country to experience life in Buenos Aires (referred to as BsAs), Argentina. We share a house in the neighborhood of Palermo Soho in BsAs. All of us have different interests but have this in common: we all are Cultural Vistas Fellows. This summer is made possible by the Cultural Vistas Fellowship, a program that funds minority university students to intern for 8 weeks abroad. This adventure we are on together truly would not have been possible if it was not for the support of Cultural Vistas.

Here I was finding myself wanting to revamp my style to fit in a little more with the Porteño vibe. Here in Buenos Aires style is an aesthetic way of expression and a outer portray of inner artwork and city culture. So I decided to return to the same barbershop. I want...

This trip to Argentina has transformed me in so many ways. Not only have I had the chance to experience the same things, such as grocery shopping and working, in a different light, my eyes have been opened to the differences and inequalities that are present in every c...

To start this off, my decision to stop consuming meat has been rather haphazard. It all started when, in my dorm room this January, I was about to dig into a delectable and long awaited chicken taco salad as thoughts began to enter my hea...
